Our Mission

To enhance lives through compassionate care and customized services that meet each individual’s unique needs.

Our Core Values

Our core values are at the forefront of everything we do. They define how we interact with clients, guide our decision-making and keep our growing team marching to the beat of a single drum.

Compassion

We understand our clients face a variety of physical, mental and emotional challenges, and that it can be difficult to accept help. That’s why we begin each day by actively practicing empathy.

Character

We recognize allowing someone into your home requires a high degree of trust, so we only select caregivers with proven track records whom we would welcome into our own homes.

Communication

We are committed to frequent communication by your preferred method to ensure you are always involved in and informed about the care we provide.

Continual
Improvement

We regularly assess and reassess client and caregiver satisfaction and strive to always be better tomorrow than we are today.

Our Story

I created Full Heart Home Care nine years after a sudden illness very nearly took my life at age 28. Until that time, I’d been a perfectly healthy, stubbornly independent professional pursuing a marketing career in New Jersey. One day I had what I thought was bronchitis, and a few days later I was in the ICU with end stage  heart failure. I remained in the hospital for four weeks before joining the transplant list and being discharged with a portable IV pump and external defibrillator vest.

I was extremely fortunate that my mom was able (and willing) to put her life in Atlanta on hold to care for me during my initial extended hospitalization and for long periods of time thereafter. In addition to my mom shopping, cooking, cleaning, shuttling me to appointments and otherwise keeping me company, I also needed regular nurse visits to maintain my medical apparatus.

The nurse assigned to my case was a true gift. In the most difficult period of my life, Amy’s kindness, positive attitude, professionalism and skill provided me the reassurance I so needed as I adjusted to being dependent upon others. She was a constant in my life for a tumultuous nine months until I received the gift of a new heart, and we remained good friends thereafter.

I cannot imagine better caregivers than my devoted and selfless mom and the unwaveringly kind and competent nurse Amy. Their presence made an otherwise untenable situation much less difficult. Many people faced with prolonged disabilities and reduced independence are not as fortunate. Most people can’t drop everything to care for an ailing loved one, and not all professional caregivers are as special as mine was.

That’s why Full Heart Home Care exists – to help as many people as possible receive the level of loving care that I received. Our mission is simple: to enhance the lives of our clients through compassionate care and customized services that meet each individual’s unique needs.

What Makes Full Heart Home Care Different?

There are quite a few home care companies in the Greater Atlanta area, from independent agencies to national franchises. One benefit of some smaller companies is they might be more flexible and provide more personalized attention. Franchise operations, on the other hand, likely have more resources and might seem more established. Full Heart Home Care was created to deliver the best of both worlds – the personalized attention and customized services of a smaller agency with the professional management and reliability of a larger company.

Our company was created for you, to help you live your fullest life, whatever that means to you.
