We are excited to announce our new Dementia Specialist program and congratulate our first four team members to achieve this designation: Ariana Brown, Angel Saulsberry, Amika Wilson and Jennifer Zhao.
Despite the rising incidence of dementia, many professional caregivers never receive formal training on the topic. All Full Heart Home Care caregivers receive foundational dementia training, and select employees are eligible to participate in our new Dementia Specialist program, which consists of the following:
- 5-hour online training curriculum endorsed by the Alzheimer’s Association
- Half-day in-person skills workshop led by our RN Care Manager
- Demonstration of competency in caring for clients with dementia
